Big Weekend!

So, this weekend was big! Mike received the Melkezedik (sp?) Priesthood, Tailor was baptized, and Alivia was blessed by Mike. The top photos are of Amber (step-mom) and I getting Tailor ready after the baptism. I definately couldn't have done it without her. Tailor was absolutely beautiful and made us so proud! The bottom pics are of Alivia's Blessing Day. She was blessed in the dress that my sister and I were and Tailor was. It's certainly special. Mike did such an awesome job blessing her! I'm so lucky to have him as a husband and father to my children! I'm so proud of him and I feel honored to be his wife!!!

Craft Day
So I just realized that Roberts has a Kids Craft Club. My friend, Amy, told me about them and said I should try it. Tuesdays at 10am and Thursdays at 1pm they have a different craft for kids to do. So the kids needed to get out today while our carpet dried. We met Amy and her two kids there and each of the kids made a picture frame. It was so fun! The frame at the top is Camryn's (mom helped), the bottom left is Tyler's, and the bottom right is Tailor's. We're totally gonna go more often!

Alivia: 4 month check-up
Alivia turned 4 months old a few weeks ago, but since her Dr. went out of town, she just had her 4 month check-up today. She is getting so big! She is such a good girl and is so fun to play with. She loves her brother and sisters and she hates strangers! Time flies so fast, she's no longer my little newborn! Anyway, here are her stats: Weight 15 lbs 13 oz (83%) Length 25 3/4 in (87%)

Little Alivia
These are just a few of the pics that have been taken of Alivia lately. The top right pic is her with a Hannah Montana wig on, the kids thought it would be funny! I can't believe she will be 4 months old next week. She's rolled over and she's teething! Where does the time go?

Family fun in the Pool!
Yesterday afternoon the kids were begging to do something. So even though it was Sunday we went swimming at Grandma Cannon's indoor pool. We decided to put Alivia in for the first time and she absolutely loved it! The water was luke warm so it wasn't such a shock. The kids had a blast and it was nice to spend some time as a family!

Sister fun!
On Saturday the 23rd Mike and Tyler went to Vegas so it was a girls day! We went and got ice cream and then I took the 3 girls to the Splash Pad at the Pine View Estates Park. Of course I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pics of that. We had so much fun though! Camryn was a little scared to get wet so Tailor picked her up and asked if she could run through the water with her, I told her to go ahead. It was hot so I would hold Alivia close enough to get sprayed the the mist or a few sprinkles. I would also let her put her feet on the ground where there was enough cold water. She absolutely loved it!!! Alivia got a little cranky in the heat so we came home and I fed her and put her to bed. Then I blew up this little pool that we've had sitting in our closet for like 2yrs and let Tailor and Camryn play with it out front. That's what the pictures are from. We had a lot of fun without the boys!!!

Trip to Havasu!
A few weeks ago I went to visit my family in Lake Havasu. I left Mike and Tailor at home because Tailor had school but I took my sister and niece. We had so much fun! My grandma was there so it was nice to see her. We played in the pool almost the whole time because it was so hot!!! Even though I'm not in any of the pics I promise I did get in and play with my kids.

Alivia is 7wks old!
I can't believe my baby girl is 7wks old!!! Where does the time go? She is such a blessing in my life. I would go through hell again just to have her. She is definately spoiled! Between Mike and I and the kids someone is pretty much always holding her. The kids are always kissing on her. She loves it though. If she's being fussy and one of them starts talking to her she totally quiets down. Alivia is completely attached to me. She can be sound asleep and as soon as I leave the room so that I can take a bath or do laundry or something she freaks out and cries until I come back. I think she's ensuring that Dad makes me take her wherever I go. We cuddle so much. I'm in the bad habit of putting her in bed with us. Mike came in to wake me up the other day and we were all cuddled together and he asked me if I thought she even knew she was born yet. I figure that this is my last baby so I want to savor every moment I can!
Anyway, I'll try to do another post soon. I don't have as much free time anymore. Imagine that! Bye!!!

Tailor is 8!!!
I can't believe I have an 8-yr-old! Where does the time go? Tailor turned 8 on April 13th. She got a Nintendo DSi, some accessories, a few games, and a Hannah Montana hat. She is in absolute heaven! She is such a big girl and an awesome helper with the other kids especially Alivia! Tailor will be getting baptized in June. I'm so proud of her. Anyway, I'm glad Tailor is my girl cuz she's the best!!!

Alivia Norine has arrived!!! and crazy stuff since...
Okay, I'm ready to do this Post. Sorry it's taken so long. Pics are in the 3 posts below. (Sorry that they are in reverse order)
Here is my story: Wednesday, February 25th, I woke up after a long night of cramping to realise that I was bleeding and the baby wasn't moving well . I called my Doc and they said to come in. I showered, shaved my legs :), got ready, and packed my bags. Mike had some last minute errands to run before I went in so I got the 3 kids bathed and dressed. We wanted to wait before we tried to find someone to watch the kids just in case they didn't admit me. I went into the office and they said I was dilated to a 3+ and that we should just throw in the towel and get this over with since I was now 37 1/2 wks. They sent me straight over to L&D to be induced. I called Mike and told him the news. I called my mom and she found someone to cover the rest of her shift and packed and left Havasu in 1 1/2 hrs. I called my BFF Kristy, who we had planned to have at the delivery, to see if she could watch our kids until my mom got in from Havasu or we could find a babysitter. They started my Pitocin at about 1 pm and at the same time my Dr. came in and asked if I wanted him to break my water. I said "Bring it on"! Mike got there about 1:15pm. By then I was only getting about a 1 minute break in between contractions. Mike told me to get my epidural, I told him I wasn't in enough pain so I was hanging in until at least 2pm. The only reason I got an epidural was to not feel her come out. We had a feeling I was going to have her quickly so we had my nurse get the Anesthesiologist at 2pm. They gave me my epidural around 2:15. I was so scared, even though it was my 4th. With my others I was in pain so I wasn't just focusing on the needle going in my back. Mike kept me calm though. They kept me laying flat so my BP wouldn't drop and then my numbness started moving up so I felt like it was a little harder to breathe. They checked me after putting my catheter in and I was a 4+. About 20 minutes later I started to get the "shakes" really bad, which is common when you hit the transition stage. My pulse went way up and I started to hyperventilate. I was still feeling my contractions but they weren't as bad. The nurse stayed in my room to monitor my breathing and to keep checking me since I was showing signs of transition. Mike really had to help me stay calm. I was shaking so bad and having a hard time keeping my breathing regular! I had never felt like that before. Mike stayed right by my side and kept me focused and calm. The nurse checked me again at about 3:15, I was at a 6 and the baby had moved way down into the birth canal. I felt a ton of pressure with every contraction. Around 3:45 she checked me again and I was a 10. Everybody came in to get stuff ready. I pushed for about 12 minutes and at 4:06pm Alivia Norine was born. The cord was wrapped around her neck and she wasn't crying or breathing so they took her to the isolette thing and had to bag her. It took them about 5 minutes to get her to breathe on her own without any help. The Respiratory Therapist and Nurse Practitioner came in from the NICU. They worked on her for about 20 minutes before they declared her okay. Meanwhile, my doctor was working on me. Once my placenta came out the doctor realised why I was bleeding, my placenta had started to tear away from the uterus. I started to hemorrhage really bad. The doctor had to do the "C" part of a D&C, which is taking like a cheese grader and scraping the inside of your uterus. Thank goodness I was numb still! They had my Pitocin going on high still and gave me two other medications to help my uterus contract so the bleeding would stop. It took about 40 minutes to get it stopped. I had a 1st degree tear which only required 1 stitch. I lost double the amount of blood that's normal. They moved me to a different room around 6:45pm. Because I lost so much blood they checked my levels after her birth and twice the next morning. They also did my vitals every 2 hrs instead of every 4 hrs. I developed a fever that they watched closely, but they had already given me IV antibiotics because scraping out my uterus gave me a higher risk of infection. They kept my catheter and IV in until morning and had me stay in bed until morning too, because of all the trauma to my body. As we were getting ready to leave Thursday around 1pm I passed out so we ended up staying until about 4pm. We finally got home! The next day we took Alivia into the Dr because she had really badreflux and at one point her lips turned blue. Then on Saturday I woke up and I had a really hard time breathing and swallowing. My uvula (sp?) was swollen and almost restricting my airway all the way. Mike took me to the ER and they gave me a breathing treatment in case it was an allergic reaction and started me on antibiotics. They noticed how pale I was and checked my blood levels again. The wanted to do a blood transfusion but we were able to negotiate and get out of there w/out one. That's the end of the drama other than a sick kid here and there. I'll try to post some recent pics soon!

Name Change! and Induction!
Okay everybody, we decided to change our baby's name. Good thing we decided before she was born! We're changing it from Camden Olivia to Alivia Norine. Maybe now that we've decided 100% for sure, she'll decide its time to be born! One can only hope.
I reached 37 wks yesterday! Yeah, so exciting. They've decided to induce me on Monday, March 2nd. We had a "false labor" trip to L&D on Friday the 20th. I'm almost dilated to 4cm. But my contractions went from regular to irregular while I was there. I am so ready for her to be born. I can't wait to see her sweet little face! She better be less trouble on the outside than she has been on the inside. So we're definately working on getting her here, if you know what I mean ;). So I had a totally gross but normal thing happen today. I lost my mucous plug. I never experienced that with my other 3 kids. It was totally gross! I showed it to Mike and he was like "that's nasty, why'd you show it to me"? I said "if I have to see it so do you"! Anyway, definately an interesting experience.
So, I better get my butt in bed! BYE!

Almost there! and poor Tyler!
So, I had a Dr.'s appt yesterday. I am dilated to 2 cm and 50% effaced! My Dr. said he would induce me at about 38 wks because of all the complications we've had, so I have about 2 1/2 wks left. YEAH!!! I can't wait. We have everything ready for Camden. All of her clothes are washed and put away, her bed is ready, etc. Life will be good when she's here!
Well, yesterday Tyler slipped as he was running into the Guest Room and hit his head on the bed frame. He ended up with a huge cut above his eyebrow, it's over an inch long. We had to take him to the ER. That was a fun experience! We've done the stitches thing twice with Tailor. But this was Tyler's first ACCIDENT, he did not take it well. Today he feels much better. He's very proud of his stitches, especially after Dad told him that chicks dig scars! I'll try to post a pic of his face in the next day or so.
Anyway, hope all is well with everyone! BYE!!!
